Appointment Policy
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate by appointment.Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. We see appointments between 8:30am and 11:30am, then 3:00pm to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Surgeries are performed between noon and 3:00pm. Saturdays we see appointments from 8:30 am to 1:00pm.
Refill of Prescriptions
Refill of any prescription medication must be authorized by our doctors. A 24 hours refill request will keep you from any unnecessary inconvenience. California state law requires that we must have seen your pet within one year in order to renew any prescription or prescribe a new one. You can also request refills at our online pharmacy. Click on the "Online Pharmacy" tab on our website.
Doctor Exam
If we have not seen your pet in at least a year, or your pet is being seen for an ongoing problem, our doctors will perform and charge for an office exam. This ensures that we are current with your pet's medical situation. Without exams or lab tests, we have no way of knowing if our treatment is effective or if there have been any changes in your pet's health. California veterinary state law also enforces that we perform physical exams every year before prescribing any medication.
Vaccinations & Safety
For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room. If at anytime you have any information that would help make your pets visit easier please let us know! For instance, if your dog likes treats please let us know so we can spoil him or her! Though we ask that you please provide only a light meal before your pets visit if you would like us to give out treats, just to ensure proper care!
